Ukrposhta parcel auctions: how to buy undelivered parcels on Prozorro.Sale and what they cost

The “lost parcel auction” is not an urban legend. Ukrposhta, Ukraine’s national postal operator, really does sell undelivered parcels at open auctions on Prozorro.Sale. Here is what is sold, how to take part and what such lots actually cost — we collected data on over 200 auctions.

What is sold

The lot is called “Набір коробок” (a set of boxes). Ukrposhta’s announcement says:

  • a set contains 100 boxes of undelivered items;
  • the contents are unknown: a book, a gadget, clothes, goods from abroad — or something entirely unexpected;
  • there is no prior viewing — you buy blind;
  • the winner collects the set; the lot includes instructions on ordering delivery through Ukrposhta itself as a bulky “Parcel B” (Відправлення В) at its rates;
  • the lot must be paid within 10 business days after the protocol is generated.

According to the media and Prozorro.Sale, the sets contain parcels that neither the recipient nor the sender collected and that sat in storage for six months. So “lost” is not quite accurate: they are undelivered and unclaimed parcels.

What it costs

  • Starting price — UAH 1,200 per set, in every lot.
  • Guarantee deposit — UAH 120, registration fee — UAH 17, bid step — UAH 60.
  • The final price is much higher than the start. From March to early October 2026 we recorded 146 sets sold: the median price is UAH 7,800, about UAH 78 per box. Half of the sets went for UAH 6,000–10,500, one in ten for more than UAH 15,000, and the record is UAH 27,600.

So in half of the auctions bidding multiplies the starting price 5–9 times. Budget for delivery too: 100 boxes is a bulky load.

Where and when

Most auctions are in Kyiv — about 70% of lots. Sets have also been sold in Dnipro, Ternopil, Lviv, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv. Since July 2026 Ukrposhta has put up 50–75 sets a month, with new lots every week.

The easiest way to find them is our catalog search for “Набір коробок”. Instead of checking daily, save a filter with these words — the radar will message you in Telegram as soon as a new set appears.

How to take part

  1. Register on a Prozorro.Sale marketplace — see our separate guide.
  2. Pay the fees — UAH 17 registration and UAH 120 guarantee deposit — to the marketplace’s account before the application deadline.
  3. Apply with documents: an individual — a copy of the tax number card (or passport if you refused a tax number), a company — an extract from the state register and ultimate beneficiary details; plus proof of fee payments.
  4. Bid online on auction day. The auction takes place only if at least two participants register.
  5. Pay for the lot within 10 business days and collect the set or order delivery.

According to Ukrposhta, its employees are not allowed to take part.

Things to consider

  • It is a lottery: a set may hold valuable electronics or trinkets and damaged items. Don’t judge by a few lucky unboxing videos.
  • Count the full cost: the set price, the marketplace fee, delivery, time to sort and dispose of what you don’t need.
  • If you plan to resell the contents as a business, sort out tax and accounting questions in advance.
  • Nova Poshta auctions are a different story: it is a private company, and we see no Nova Poshta lots on Prozorro.Sale.

Ukrposhta also sells other things on Prozorro.Sale: company cars, scrap metal, equipment, real estate. See our articles on Ukrposhta, Ukrzaliznytsia and customs assets and cars at auction.
