Where to buy confiscated goods? On Prozorro.Sale. Customs offices sell goods that became state property and property nobody collected. As of 17 October 2026, 144 lots from 14 customs offices accept applications — most from Kharkiv (51), Zakarpattia (18), Chernivtsi (14), Volyn (12) and Kyiv (11).
What is sold
- Cars: a 2006 Jeep Commander — UAH 322,942 (Rivne customs, auction on 22 October), a 2003 Opel Astra — UAH 125,184 (Vinnytsia), a 2011 Opel Combo — UAH 203,645.
- Equipment and spare parts: Jenbacher gas engine parts at 0.5–1.9 million per lot in Kharkiv, heating elements, aircraft instruments, 37 used Oppo, Vivo, Huawei smartphones — UAH 25,422.
- Goods in batches: women’s clothing, children’s clothing, pet clothing, slot machine parts, tinplate, polymers.
- Food — fast, at reverse auctions: in summer and autumn there were tomatoes from Armenia, figs from Turkey, chilled beef.
Customs offices also sell their own old service cars — titled “Disposal of state property”: 1990s VAZ cars from UAH 1,500. That is not confiscated goods, but it is bought the same way.
How the price falls
A customs lot goes through several attempts, each cheaper. Example — the Jeep Commander: the first auction on 12 October starting at UAH 430,590 got no applications; the second, on 22 October, is 322,942, 25% cheaper. Opel Astra: 200,520 → 150,390 → 125,184 and a “third repeat” auction at the same price. After several failed attempts the lot goes to a reverse auction — a Dutch auction where the price drops in steps until someone accepts.
Hence the key figure: in six months customs offices held 1,387 auctions, and 1,294 failed. Of the lots that did sell (89), half went for at most 61% of the starting price of their attempt. The Armenian tomatoes at a repeat reverse auction went for a quarter of the initial price.
What sells at customs auctions
- a 1991 MTZ-80L tractor (Zakarpattia customs) — UAH 140,220 from a start of 12,000, 15 bidders;
- five Radeon RX6800 graphics cards — UAH 56,500 from 32,802 at a third auction, 9 bidders;
- a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta — UAH 125,006 from 98,207, three bidders.
So liquid items — cars, machinery, computer hardware — get snapped up and the price rises. Batches of clothing or parts for specific engines wait months for a buyer — and get cheaper.
How to buy
- Find a lot — in the selection below, in the catalogue by the word “митний” (customs), or set a filter (for example, “митний” + “автомобіль”) and get new lots in Telegram: catching the second or third attempt pays better than the first.
- Read the description and documents: condition, completeness, for cars — whether it can be registered and is customs-cleared. Viewing — by arrangement with the customs office.
- Register with an operator and pay the fees; at a reverse auction decide in advance how low you will wait.
- After winning — payment within the term set in the lot and pickup.
Do not confuse it with other “confiscated” property: debtors’ seized property is sold by private enforcement officers — mostly on SETAM (how it differs), and assets seized in criminal cases — by ARMA under “Seized and sanctioned assets”.
